One Prayer

Pray for Your Church this Weekend

Yesterday we dedicated our One Prayer focus to praying for each other as individuals. Today, let’s continue the dialogue by posting short prayer requests for our churches. How can we pray specifically for your church as you participate in the One Prayer series? While you’re here, pause for a few moments and lift up the other churches in prayer. Then be sure to check back on Monday and share what God did in your church this weekend!

This website was just brought to my attention -- I believe so much in the power of prayer and I ask for prayer now for a graduate student, a young woman who survived cancer once and now it's back. I also ask for prayer for my father who just turned 85. He has diabetes and many other health related problems which are making his life very difficult. Thank you and I pray for blessings for each of you.

Heavenly Father, Creator and Sustainer of all life, to You be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I just want to take this opportunity to praise You for the mighty work that You are doing in Your Body. It makes my heart leap for joy when I think of hundreds of thousands of believers from multiple denominations coming together in agreement. All brought together by a common thread which is Christ. This has really been a prayer of my heart for sometime now. I believe if we truly desire to be a dangerous and effective church then we need as much as the body in an agreement as possible. We all represent different parts of the body and it is necessary for us to be in agreement in order to function properly.

Lord it is my prayer that each church involved with this series will be so overfilled with Your Holy Spirit that it will pour out into their communities and into other churches around them. I pray that they be ignited in such away that sets everyone’s heart that they come in contact with ablaze. Let it be with them as it was with Peter in the book of Acts. Let Your Spirit touch them so supernaturally that thousands are added to the family of God each day. It is also my pray that we be authentic representatives of Christ Jesus, that we walk in such a way and talk in such a way that we are clearly recognized as followers of Jesus because of our love for one another.

It is clearly evident that God is at work with One Prayer through the words that have been spoken up to this point by Pastor Craig and Perry Noble. They have been used as mouthpieces of God to speak into the consciences of men and women who have grown stagnant in their faith, and they have given hope to those who have felt so helpless. I pray O’ Lord that you will continue to use this series to transform the lives of your children and those whom you have called to be your sons and daughters. To ascend is to be transformed and to descend is to be conformed. So Let us continue to ascend in our faith being ever transformed from glory to glory.

Hello. My wife and I had the honor this Sunday 6/15/2008, to watch the first in the series of One Prayer from The Rock Church in Asheville, NC. Pastor Craig Groeschel's teachings were an inspiration. The congregation applauded and repeated scripture as if Pastor Groeschel was there in person. Please tell Pastor we enjoyed his message greatly. I really like the camera shots and angles since I'm a camera operator for Rock TV and helped with the One Prayer video from The Rock Church. Thank you, Life Church. JERRY & KAREN SOESBEE ASHEVILLE, NC

Let Your Holy Spirit renew us all, including those of us at Granger Community Church, so that we can not only draw closer to You, but also bring about restoration here on earth so that wherever we go we shine You and bring "up there down here." I just want to have as many people to pray for all parents that we can raise our children, especially our teens in a way that they will take what we here in church from the bible seriously and that they will just be reminded that God is watching everything they do and all choices they make are eternal choices. I actually need this also.
Also I want to ask for Prayer for the church at chapel hill that God will continue doing the good work he is doing there and that we never drift from him.

    God,
I pray for all the churches involved in One Prayer. I pray that everyone will let go and let You in. I pray for Liberty Church North Campus and all the Liberty Church campuses will be overflowing with people that see Your love. I hope that people that have never been to church before or struggling to find a church will wander through our doors and see Your love through the people of the church. Continue to allow us to come together and unite as one for You and Your cause.
Be with all the churches and give them strength to grow and show others around them that God loves them no matter who they are or what they are. He LOVES us. A love that is unfailing and always faithful. Show the members and the communities around all the churches that as one body in Christ we are able to do things unimaginable!
    Amen.

I pray that this weekend that our church will be overflowing with people that want to know christ. It is silly but I pray that all the people that like to go at 11ish...go to the service before that one so we can have more seats for those that are looking for a new church..and no...Scott did not ask me to say that..LOL For me I tend to shy away when there is a large crowd...with no where to sit....our church is growing and it seems that most "new bee's" like the 11ish time area....I pray that our kids in Switch grow each week knowing that God will be there for them...I pray that our church continues in the direction it is going....
A thing we use to tell our cast members at Disney is, There is no "I" in team...We are all on Gods team....

I pray God will move in a mighty way at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham this weekend. I pray that every single person that steps foot into one of Highlands campuses will feel the Lord's presence and immediately want to take refuge in Him. I pray that He will send Birmingham's unsaved through our doors-that they will hear God's words through Pastor Chris and come to find hope, love and come to serve the One true God. I pray the members of Highlands will unite as one body and be a fierce warrior against the enemy. I pray specifically for Pastor Chris. I lift him up to the Lord. I pray Pastor Chris be empowered by the Holy Spirit and confident in the message the Lord has laid on his heart. I pray all that hear will be receiving and have softened hearts. I pray for all churches on this series. I pray they all find ways to show love to those lost in their community and bring many to make a commitment to Christ. God bless us all and continue to show us favor!!!!

Tough times don't last... Tough people do!!!
My name is Gary Hogman. Some of you receiving this know me,

some do not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been
diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances

    for survival are very slim.

She was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently
at 3 months, and now we know why. This is a request for you to

forward this e-mail to everyone you know asking for prayer.

The more people that pray for her to be healed, the better. Pray

and forward. It only takes a second to hit 'forward'.

Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can, and perhaps
will, save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray

for the HEALING of Cindy and the removal of all cancer in her
body, so she may enjoy all that life has to offer, and to continue

to be the wonderful mother to our 5 year old son, Michael.

The power of Prayer is unsurpassed. I want the whole world to have
her in their prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry.
Please do not be offended by my plea.. This is only a request for
your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for
reading this and helping with our request for healing!
No words can express the power we have when we
each do a little to come together.

Thank you, and please send it to the far
    reaches of our world.

'WHAT TIME I AM AFRAID, I WILL TRUST IN THEE'.
    PSALM 56:3

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

I pray for Life Connections Church in Montgomery, Illinois, that the Lord would continue to build unity in the body of Christ. Praise Him for the good fruit that we are seeing, for the hope we have and for the anticipation He has placed in our hearts as we watch lives being transformed and refreshed by His Holy Spirit.
I pray for God to turn the hearts of HIs people back to Him and for truth to conquer all the fears and lies that the enemy uses to render us powerless. That all bellievers everywhere would know that we are more than conquerers in Christ Jesus and that there is no condemnation for those whose lives are hidden in Him. I pray for the name of Jesus to be lifted up over our community and claimed for His Holy purposes, that we, as His children would yield to the Holy Spirit's work in us, surrendering our hearts and willl to Him, living the abundant life we are called to live.
I pray that as we move out into the community for Christ, sharing His very nature manifest in us, that others would see the light of His love and know the peace of God that walks wherever we go. That the Lord will lead us where the needs are and allow us to minister and share the good news wherever we find ourselves. May He fill us to the fullness of Christ with His Holy Spirit and empower us, as we offer ourselves as living sacrifices, bound to Christ through His death and resurrection, to be holy and pleasing to our Father, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing and given us authority to go in His name to seek and save the lost.
May each person praying throughout the world be forever changed as they meet with Him before His throne of mercy and grace, as we listen and learn from the maker of Heaven and Earth, as He shares His heart with us.
For there is no greater cause than Christ, who reigns forever, our great high priest who ever intercedes for us, His children. To Him be the praise and the glory, all pover and authority belongs to Him, Let us forever boast about what our Lord has done. Amen.

As a new church, who is not even launching until September, we hesitated on even joining One Prayer. I wasn't sure how we could impact out community with it or how effective it would be for our launch team at this point.

After deciding to join One Prayer, it has been awesome. Our church has a huge opportunity to impact our community and the churches of our community with the Unity and the love of Christ. THERE ARE NO INNOVATIVE, COME-AS-YOU-ARE, CONTEMPORARY CHURCHES in our area. We are the first. Because of that the traditional boundries and comfort zones are being tested for many around us.

Please pray that our responses will be Godly, our answers will be wise, our patience will be strong and our gentleness will increase. Please pray that the un-churched will see the love of Christ in what we do and the churched will see the love for our neighbor in who we are. Pray that God will increase OUR STAFF and OUR LAUNCH TEAM.

I pray for our campus and for that matter all campuses this weekend that as fathers enter the doors they would be encouraged on this Fathers day weekend. I pray the dads of our communities would not settle for what the world has to say about raising our children or treating our spouses. I pray Lord you would do a tremendous work in the lives of the men who you have called to lead. I pray men you do not put yourself in a position of fear. God is right there with you. He holds you up. Beleive this in your heart to be true and he will give you the strenght to overcome all obsticles. Finally Lord I pray there would be healing taking place in your body. That we would take this opportunity to go to someone in our lives that we need to ask to forgive us and say Im sorry. I pray for UNITY.
    In Jesus name I pray.
